RH & RW Clutton welcomed Defra’s recent guidance on valuing Natural Capital to encourage better environmental decisions.

Natural Capital is our stock of natural assets such as soil, water, air and plants.  Natural assets provide us with food, clean water and air, referred to as “Ecosystem Services”. A natural capital approach to policy and decision making considers the value of the natural environment for people and the economy.On a wider scale, Ecosystem Services can include managing forests and woodland for natural flood defences and climate regulation.  

Many of our clients have been augmenting Natural Capital and delivering Ecosystems Services for generations.

We would be delighted to work with more farmers and land owners to discover the wider potential and value of their farms and estates.
