James is Head of Rural Agency in the Firm having spent his career buying and selling some of the finest properties in the South East. James handles all of the residential agency work from our East Grinstead office and has been successfully developing the firm’s agricultural agency practice.  In addition, James handles a considerable amount of professional valuation work. He has prepared and handled a number of expert witness reports for clients and has had considerable success in negotiating probate valuations with the District Valuer’s Office. James has a portfolio of local rural and agricultural management clients and is involved with a wide range of management issues including rent reviews.

James joined the firm as a Partner in 2008, having spent the previous 25 years with a national firm based in Lewes, he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1982 and is an RICS Registered Valuer. He is also a member of the Agricultural Law Association.

When not working James spends his time building up the wildlife population on his estate at Chailey and he is also a keen fisherman.

James is based in our East Grinstead office.
